Sectors of The Wheel
Certain sections of the wheel are grouped together into sections that you can place bets on in some casinos. Normally the groupings are dependent on how the numbers are grouped together on the wheel. Among the most popular offered at online casino offfering French roulette are:
Voisins du Zero / Neighbours of Zero
A group of numbers that lie between 22 and 25 on a European wheel (inclusive 22 and 25 themselves).
So the following numbers: 22,18,29,7,28,12,35,3,26,0,32,15,19,4,21,2,25.
A bet of 9 (or 18, 36 etc) is made as follows:
2 chips on the 0,2,3 trio
1 chip on the 4/7 split
1 on 12/15 split
1 on 18/21 split
1 on 19/22 split
2 on 25/26/28/29 corner and
1 on 32/35 split
Tiers du Cylindre
The sector directly opposite Voisins du Zero between 27 and 33 inclusive on a European roulette wheel.
The numbers are27,13,36,11,30,8,23,10,5,24,16,33.
A bet of 6 8or, 12, 18....etc) is bet as follows: 1 chip on the following splits:
5/8, 10/11, 13/16, 23/24, 27/30, 33/36.
Orphelins / Orphans
These numbers are the remaining pockets. (ie not the Voisins and Tiers). 8 numbers in total: 17,34,6 ,1,20,14,31,9.
A bet of 5 /or 10, 15...) is made. Bet 1 on number 1 and 1 on each of the following splits: 6/9, 14/17, 17/20 and 31/34.
A Number and its Neighbours
Any number can be bet in a group with its 4 immediate neighbours. So bet 26 and the Neighbours" and you bet on 35,3,26,0,32. Not to be confused with Voisins du Zero which is a 17 number bet. Neighbours of 3 would be a 5 piece bet.
